I am sitting on the steps of St. Alphonsus Church. My home is just around the corner and down a block. There are any number of reasons for me sitting here. It is late and I am dead tired but the weather is nice. I have pain issues all today that medication is helping only minimally. Muscle pain and nerve pain. Tonight it is even affecting how I walk and making it a little more difficult. So I welcome this rest on the church steps. A church is also a comforting place to be, though I am not Catholic as this church is. No matter anyway. Its the same God. Traffic and people are still somewhat lively, giving me background noise and things to watch. I don’t look forward to getting up and walking again. The pain will come back. My muscles are tired and painful enough. I am told it is fibromyalgia. Whatever, I need a day of rest. It can’t be tomorrow. I have several appointments. Fridays are getting to be my busiest day. I still have the weekend coming. I will try to be not so active or on my feet. I see the rheumatologist again next week on Wednesday, June 13th. I will try to post what happens. For now, good night.
